We all have ‘weird’ or ‘imperfect’ traits

We all have ‘weird’ or ‘imperfect’ traits we try to cover up, but those are the very things that connect us to others :))   My own struggle with blushing used to make me feel “less than”, made me hide inside, run away or judge myself internally…

Once a colleague told me that he finds it makes me more sympathetic & relatable. It made him open up to me too!! 🥹🤲🏼✨

I couldn’t immediately solve my blushing through this but hey, it contributed in accepting it as part of who I am today 🫶🏼 and that’s an absolute game changer!

Radical self acceptance, inner child work and exposure therapy have helped me to integrate it over time.

And even though I am still blushing
every once in a while, I now know,
It’s in our imperfections
that we find our true beauty
and the chance to build
genuine connections 🥹♥️

A calm mind, doesn’t only improve your personal

A calm mind, doesn’t only improve your personal leadership skills but also your ability to connect to your peers on a deeper level, hence, lower your level of stress.

I could probably list even more, but here are a few reasons why I experienced a calm mind to be helpful:

🌱clarity in decision making processes - choosing the option that aligns with MY true purpose and values

🌱deeper connection with myself and others - as I am more present, and can fully listen to understand myself & others, I get to build deeper connections <3

🌱higher creativity & solution focus - when my mind is calm, ideas suddenly flow again >> innovation & growth

understanding WHY you want to cultivate a calm mind, is always the first step to change sustainably!!

How to actually get your mind calmer over time:

> become present through grounding techniques
> limit screen time in the evening
> acknowledge your thoughts just for what they are (self acceptance instead of self judgement)
> listen to calming music
> walk through the park / nature
> stretching

or a meditation that helps you to fully relax into the present moment.
Like we will do on December 29th, in Amsterdam, as well.

Here’s the thing most people don’t understand—and what could save you from more outbursts, eye rolls, or conflicts:
All emotions are speaking to YOU, not to others 🤌🏼

The problem? Most people project their anger and frustration onto others…

>>> Someone throws an unsolicited comment your way, and you get mad at them.
>>> Your parent doesn’t listen, so you’re angry at them.
>>> Your partner doesn’t meet your expectations, and you want to change them 🫠

But what if, instead, you listened to what your emotions are really trying to tell YOU?
Every feeling has a message for you:
🔎 Often, we’re triggered by something because it stirs up envy—traits we’ve been told we can’t have.
🔎 Or it activates a belief or wound from our inner child.
🔎 Or it highlights unmet needs for recognition and appreciation that we’re still seeking from others.

The next time an uncomfortable emotion shows up,
ask yourself:
👉🏼 What exactly is bothering me?
👉🏼 What is this person reflecting back to me?
👉🏼 Why does this upset me?

When you get curious about your emotions, they stop controlling you—and start guiding you ♥️
