Why joining a meditation, movement and mingling event? Especially since you don’t believe you’re actually good in any of those 3 things?

Because this is exactly the point.
Intentionally choosing situations, practices and people that we don’t know (yet). Or don’t know if we could actually be good at/ like.

If there is one thing I’ve learned through the past 6 months in North America then it’s finding true belonging in a completely new terrain, with new people, and new practices.

If we want to belong, be brave and create a positive and supportive community, I believe we have to learn how to listen, have hard conversations, look for joy, share pain, and be more curious than defensive, all while seeking moments of togetherness.

It’s not fitting in or pretending or selling out because it’s safer.

It’s a practice that requires us to be vulnerable, get uncomfortable, and learn how to be present with people without sacrificing who we are.

Placing your attention, focus and
money on things that
you actually wanna kick out of
your life will only recreate it.

You’ve probably heard it over and over again: where focus goes, energy flows!! 🧡 it’s so simple:

Focus on the good and the good will multiplies.
Focus on the bad be the bad multiplies.

Focus on all the worst case scenarios,
Focus on how they react negatively, how they’ll reject you, how they will laugh, how they look at you weirdly, questioning you and your abilities…

… which will increase the chances that this actually happens. Because you see the things you “wanna” see. That you’ve subconsciously primed yourself on. Which means your words, actions, attitude will direct towards that scenario. Aka. The worst case scenario creates itself.

What’s the ideal future?
What’s the perspective you want to choose?
What do you want to create that makes you say “I am lit up by my life & work”?

The ACTUAL work begins,
when integrating the answers to those questions,
Feeling it, visualising it, seeing it happening,
before it actually happened,

which works best from a hypnotic, calm and meditative state, when the monkey mind shuts up and the subconscious can be primed.

And allows us a much faster change and long lasting result.

I forgot my laptop at the security check.

In the past this would have
freaked me out🤯
In the past, like before
I’ve done the inner work,
before practicing my tools,
and integrating it.

Nowadays I can stay calm.
Because of it. The inner work.

It takes less time. Time that in the past I would have spent with spiraling further and further into self sabotage, blaming and driving everyone else crazy with it…

Now I’m able to control and navigate my emotions within a few min, few seconds,
Which frees up headspace.
Headspace that’s available for thinking in solutions and taking responsibility over the situation.

Headspace I could use to browse the shelf’s for a gift for my dad’s 70th birthday, even though I only had 30 min left to board to my next flight🤍

Headspace with which I filled out the lost & round form 10 minutes later.
